This is my brazen tweak on the classic Chinese five spice flavour base.
This salt is perfect for Asian-style fried dishes such as salt and pepper prawns or crispy quail. It works incredibly well with roasts and baked vegetables – sprinkle on just before serving.
Bored with chicken salt? Sprinkle some of this over your hot chips, (yes, carry a shaker in your handbag if you have – I do!) and you will never want chicken salt again.
Use it on some pan fried chicken or a steak. Mix into some flour and use it to dust onto a nice white fish fillet and gently pan fry. Or just sprinkle on some hot buttered corn… Sooooo good!
